When I was a kid I loved books about outer space, especially the planets. Back then the best photo available of Pluto showed a fuzzy grayish dot. Now you can see its mountains, clear as day.

There hasn’t been a surface-level exploration of Venus since 1994. There’s a couple scheduled for the end of the decade. Can you imagine? What that will be like? To see Venus as if for the first time?
You ever look back to near-death experiences when you were younger, and wonder at all you’d have missed? Not just the people or the experiences, but the advances in things you like? Like the planets. I’m so happy I’ve lived long enough to see Pluto.
I needed this today. Things get weird but man, it would suck if they didn't.
